Computer image issued after Canterbury assault

Kingsmead assaultPolice have released an e-fit of a man they would like to talk to in connection with an assault in Canterbury in May.
A 30-year-old man from Canterbury was walking along the path next to the river Stour off Kingsmead Road at 8.30pm on Friday 15 May 2009 when he was tripped over and kicked a number of times. He did not need hospital treatment but received a cut eyebrow
The man who assaulted him had earlier been on a small footbridge crossing the river arguing with another man.

Witness appeal after Canterbury fight

Police are looking for witnesses to a fight in Burgate Lane, Canterbury, last Wednesday night (27 May 2009). Four men claimed that they were set upon by three or four other men leaving them with minor injuries.
The fight happened near JD Wetherspoons at about 11pm and anyone with information is urged to contact PC Chris Green on 01227 868294.

Taxi driver assaulted

Police are appealing for witnesses after a taxi driver was knocked unconscious in Canterbury.
The 49-year-old driver was trying to move a group of men away from his taxi parked in the Canterbury Lane rank between 10.45pm and 10.50pm on Friday 24 April 2009 when one of the men punched him in the head. He fell over and hit his head and needed hospital treatment for a  head injury.
Police have descriptions of three white men, the one who threw the punch was wearing a dark top and grey tracksuit bottoms and had short, light-coloured hair.
